Laís Melo

Laís Melo is a screenwriter, director, art director and popular cinema educator. In her work, she researches the reverberation of violence and the possibilities of reinventing the lives of working-class bodies. Her first short film, “I Tried”, was awarded best film, photography and performance at the 50th Brasília Festival, among others.
